Honourable Courtesy Visit to Sarawak’s Deputy Premier
YAST Group would like to extend our heartfelt thanks and gratitude to TVS, International Times Sdn. Bhd., United Daily News, Sin Chew Daily and See Hua Daily for their media coverage.
In collaboration with our global partners EXE HEALTHCARE Group and six prominent Chinese companies (including two from Hong Kong), along with a representative from Invest Sarawak, we had the honor of paying a courtesy visit to Sarawak’s Deputy Premier, Yang Berhormat Datuk Amar Professor Dr. Sim Kui Hian, on May 28, 2024.
During this esteemed visit, we engaged in comprehensive discussions with the Deputy Premier to explore and understand the favourable policies and incentives available for prospective investments and collaborations.
We extend our deepest gratitude to the Sarawak government for their warm welcome, hospitality, and unwavering support.

Honoring His Excellency: A Grateful Celebration of Chinese New Year at YAST Office
It was such a great honour to have the blessing of welcoming the presence of His Excellency T.Y.T, Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sarawak, Tun Dr Haji Wan Junaidi bin Tuanku Jaafar, and his beloved wife, Yang Amat Berbahagia, Toh Puan Fauziah Mohd Sanusi, at the YAST Office in conjunction of the tenth day of Chinese New Year, on February 19, 2024.
We are forever grateful to Tun and Toh Puan, whose attendance has bestowed upon us immeasurable joy, rendering our Chinese New Year celebration profoundly meaningful. Their graciousness and humility have left an indelible mark on our hearts. May their warmth and camaraderie continue to illuminate our path throughout the year ahead.

Launching Ceremony for “Bau Welcomes The World”
Guest of Honour : YB Dato Sri Haji Abdul Karim Rahman Hamzah, Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts Sarawak with his wife YBhg Datin Seri Hajah Zuraini Abdul Jabbar.
One of the event stops for 25th Miss Tourism International World Final 2022/23 will be “Bau Welcomes the World!”. Pageant participating beauty queens will depart from Lundu to Bau on 18 November for a series of promotional activities. Dato Henry Harry Jinep will also hold a luncheon at Bau to welcome the pageant delegates and the organizers.

Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) Signing Ceremony between YAST Group and Sin Chew Daily; LEAVES Food Industries ; See Hua Marketing and ACEA – ASEAN-China Entrepreneurs’ Association in conjunction with 25th Miss Tourism International World Final 2022/2023 which will be held from November 11-27 in this year.

The Fourth signing ceremony of MoU was between YAST Group and See Hua Group. Cats Around The World to Promote Kuching and Sarawak
22nd JULY, 2022 – A Memorandum of Understanding has been signed between YAST Group and Farley Group, to promote Kuching
and Sarawak to the world through Cats Around The World events.
Cats Around The World will be held at Farley Mall Kuching from 20th Nov to 22nd Nov in conjunction with the 25th Miss Tourism
International (MTI) World Final 2022/2023*.
The MoU signing is part of series of activities prior to the 25th Miss Tourism International (MTI) World Final 2022/2023 organized by
YAST Group and D’Touch International (MTI brand owner).
* The 25th Miss Tourism International World Final 2022/2023 is one of the home grown major international beauty pageants. The
18-days event will be held in Kuching from 10th to 27th November. Themed “Bringing the World to Sarawak”, beauty queens from
about 60 countries will come here for the World Final.
Welcoming Speech by Madam Esther Law Lee Poh
Madam Esther Law Lee Poh, Founder and Chairlady of YAST Group, greeted the audience with a “Meow”, representing the sound of a
cat (kucing)*. As an anak Sarawak who wishes to contribute back to her homeland, Madam Esther Law, a portfolio entrepreneur,
initiated this Cats Around the World brand which is align to her wishes of “Bringing the World to Sarawak, and Bringing
Sarawak to the World“.
* The purpose of Cats Around The World event is to promote Kuching, Sarawak. The representative mascot of Kuching is a cat,
and the Malay word for cat is “kucing”, which is homophonic with “Kuching”.
Madam Esther Law also shared with audience a sneak preview of Digital Cat Palace, formulated by YASTECH, a subsidiary of YAST Group,
which is to be further announced soon.
Datuk Sebastian Ting Chiew Yew, the Deputy Minister for Tourism, Creative Industry and Performing Arts, shared his views and comments
before the signing ceremony. He noted the virtual gallery planned for the Cats Around the World event is also in line with the Premier Datuk
Patinggi Tan Sri Abang Johari Tun Openg’s vision to digitalize Sarawak.
“For us in the ministry, we are very supportive. This Miss Tourism International event involves tourism with 60 beauty queens coming here
and there will be people coming to witness the event as well. Secondly, it will be promoting our cultures and, of course, it is also promoting
our creative industry,” he said.

He believes that more countries/cities encouraged to enjoy the benefits of hosting the world final and the spin-off economic advantages of the world-class events. Madam Esther Law Lee Poh was born and raised in Lundu. YAST Group will host the 25th Miss Tourism International (MTI) World Final 2022 which will be held in Sarawak. Lundu has been chosen as one of the venue where 60 beauty queens from all over the world will grace the town of Lundu on 17 November 2022 next in conjunction with the 25th Miss Tourism International Beauty Pageant with the slogan “Bringing the world to Lundu“.

Tuan Gustian Bin Haji Durani is a chairman of Lundu District Council and also be installed as Lundu District Officer. He was very happy to receive and witness the signing of ceremony of Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) within YAST Group and the Lundu District Council in order the purpose of Lundu Town Square in it’s installation of the International Friendship route. He also greatly proud when Lundu was chosen as a single place to visit by 60 global beauty queens. By that the place shall be remarkable and will notable in Malaysian Book of Records.
